Free Speech but not as we know it.

Warning -I may not be able to hold in the swear words so be warned. If easily offended dont read on.

Someone who I allow to post on this blog also likes to comment on some of the Crowborough stories posted on the Couriers web site under the tag dmh.

Credit where credits due the Courier posts most of his comments although I am aware that they did remove a couple of comments when he referred to a disgusting act used by some men of the Muslim faith for sexual gratification.

Dmh likes to post his opinion on a number of local issues and I applaud him for that. The local councils like to treat the paper as their own and get them to publish rubbish articles that show them in what they perceive as a good light. Most of what is printed is of course a load of bollocks.

Take for example the story about local primary school children who started a campaign against parents taking their children(them) to school by car and having the bare faced cheek to park outside the school for 10 seconds while their child exits the car and goes into school.I share dmh opinion that it is an insult to the readers to even suggest that 5 year olds would come up with a campaign that results in them walking to school rather than being transported in a nice safe and warm car.Surely its no coincidence that the local noddy Copper just so happened to have a big poster that could be put outside the school at a moments notice to basically say dont park here because the lazy fat arsed teaching staff want to.Another bollocks story about another school stated how good it was that the kids were force fed healthy vegetarian crap before their sats and how it helped their brain power.Again a total total bollock story that is only published because the local health gestapo head went on the same Common Purpose training event as the twat that wrote the story.

Dmh quite rightly pointed out that this was all rubbish(politely) because you dont know how they were going to perform in their sats if they ate bacon and eggs. They also dont know what proper food the kids had before going to school making the supposition that tasteless food somehow equals greater brainpower meaningless.

I should point out that I agree that a good breakfast is important but I am with dmh because I classify a good breakfast as involving bacon and eggs.Muesli or Crappy french breakfasts are more likely to cause kids to vomit the contents of their guts all over the exam paper rather than helping them do well in your SATs(which lets be honest are crap in themselves).

What I have noticed is that there seems to be certain people who post replies to dmh posts that seem to indicate that local authority employees are professionally rebutting dmhs posts.

Repeated claims about dmh having negative views(all he originally stated was the healthy food sounded disgusting) and similar derogatory comments about him.All the rebut posts are very similarly written but the give away was several weeks ago when there was a lively discussion on the the value of youth workers.Several rebuttal comments were made saying what brilliant people youth workers were and how qualified they had to be( I believe up to NVQ level 1 bullshitting sometimes).Anyonee singing the praise of youth workers must be a local authority numpty or clinically insane (or both). My point is that it would appear that somewhere within the murky depths of the council/police/fake charity sector alliance it is being encouraged to stifle any non "on message" debate by labelling people negative and a victor medrew.

I happen to know that this doesnt bother dmh one bit and he sees it as his duty to exercise free speech and speak up for himself how he sees fit(some of his put downs are brilliant).

What I find disturbing is that the state in the guise of local citizens sees its job to rebut any comments that do not match its own lunatic PC thinking.

I am posting an excerpt below on what I mean -its from some marxist thinking shit with the tag AA (no offence love).

dmh seems to have nothing but negative comments to make about anything remotely positive that is happening in Crowborough schools. WELL DONE HERNE, with the fantastic help again of Waitrose, for yet another brilliant SATS week Breakfast Club which encourages healthy eating for active brains; well done also to Whitehill Infants for tackling the parking issues which do not only dominate the areas outside schools, but throughout the town.

It sounds disgusting. What about a good old "fry up".Give em something to keep them going all morning not poncey bagels and croissants that taste like cardboard.

UFO or UAV

My son was watching Newsround this morning and he became very excited about a story of a UFO sighted over Eridge last night.
By the time I got into his room the story had gone.
I drive through Eridge every day and this morning there was no sign of any alien battle cruisers or little grey men looking at the cattle in a strange way.
Does anyone know what happened ?If so e mail me on g.osborne@live.co.uk or post comment below.
I have seen very low military helicopters flying over Eridge before and my guess is that it was an UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) like the second picture above.I would be interested in any info that people have or any links to any info on the web.

Public Service Announcement.

Euro and local elections in this area 4th June.
If you dont want another year of this corrupt regime dont vote Labour.
A good kicking for Gordon Mc Doom in the ballot box will result in civil war in the Labour Party and an early general election.
Remember
Its not who you vote for that counts its who counts your vote.

Chocolate teapot working party.

(Not posted by Captain Swing)

Lifted from the courier website

A range of measures are being adopted to tackle anti social behaviour in Crowborough after residents have complained of large groups of young people hanging around the Goldsmiths area.

A working party of representatives from Sussex Police, Crowborough Town Council and Andy Jones, the manager of Freedom Leisure Centre met last week to discuss ideas.

One of those ideas was to build a temporary shelter for youngsters at the front of the leisure centre near the skate park.

Kent and Sussex Courier reporter Jessica Thompson joined Sgt Howard Nevill on Friday night on Operation Marble, an ongoing scheme to tackle the problems in the town.

She found out about how police are handling residents' concerns and what young people thought of the working party ideas.

AS the Courier website seems to be moderating/censoring comments at the moment I have put this up for anyone to express their opinions.

Sitting on your arse isnt going to help .

Being fed up with Sgt (I sit behind a desk all the time)Nevill pronouncing in the local paper that he didnt think there was a problem with unruly behaviour in Crowborough at night I decided to register my displeasure.I will publish any reply that I get for your amusement and delight.

Feel free to send further eMails to him if you have any views about Policing (or lack of it) in Crowborough.

I have read with interest the article in the local paper about how hard you are working with the Youth of Crowborough to prevent anti social behaviour in Crowborough at night. I was interested to note your comment In relation to vandalism, Sgt Nevill said: "There is not some rampage going on, not that I am aware of. It might be isolated incidents.". I was less than reassured by your statement especially the" not that I am aware of "part of it.As your position is Office based and your PCSOs dont work late at night can you please tell me how you are aware of anything that does go on after dark in the town. Do you or anyone else actually patrol the town after dark or is it considered a no go area. Not a weekend goes by without young people causing trouble in the town ranging from general rowdyness to vandalism. All you seem to be doing is burying your head in the sand and ignoring what is going on.Your job is NOT to be Social Worker making excuses for under age drinking and its consequences nor is it to help arrange activities for the yobbos of Crowborough so they are not bored.Your job is to serve and protect the residents of Crowborough with the emphasis on serve.Being a public servant perhaps you should consider what the residents want to see. Most people want proper Police on patrol(on foot) around the town.Given that most of the problems occur after dark surely it not beyond the Police to ensure that there enough proper policemen topolice the town after dark.We do not want to see PCSOs wandering around the town(some slouching around with their hands in their pockets looking bored) during the day when there is nothing for them to do.If the PCSOs cant or wont work after dark then perhaps you should employ more proper coppers and less PCSOs. I was particularly incenced about you personally making excuses about under aged drinking saying it was because they were bored.I bet you wouldnt make excuses for me if I got drunk (because I was bored and had nuffink to do) and starting smashing the place up.

Clued Up

Below is part of an interesting article about Clued Up from the Courier website. My comments are in Bold.

A "ONE stop shop" for young people in Crowborough offers advice on careers, relationships and housing among a host of other modern day issues.

Staff at Clued Up Info let the Kent and Sussex Courier step inside and find out more about the charity which helps 11 to 25 year olds with a wide variety of issues.

Clued Up is registered as a charity but gets all its funding from the taxpayers of Sussex via grants from local government (East Sussex,Wealden and Crowborough Town Council).By a strange coincidence the trustees of Clued Up are employees or senior staff of these self same councils. All the employees of Clued Up are employees of East Sussex County Council so the taxpayer kindly pays their salary and pensions payments as well.

When you first walk into the narrow doorway on The Broadway, Clued Up Info looks a little like one of those dark, trendy cafes you find lining The Lanes of Brighton.

But as soon as you open the door you are greeted by multi-coloured walls, bright sofas and eye catching posters and it is no surprise that young people feel comfortable here.

Not sure what type of Cafe they are referring to but I have never been to a trendy cafe with sofas and posters being staffed by council employees pretending to be a charity.

On one side of the recently decorated room is an ICT suite for use by visitors. Chart music plays in the background giving the shop a warm and familiar atmosphere.

Thats the same ICT suite that allows children as young as 11 to have unrestricted access to the Internet including adult sex and swinger sites. No wonder this is the reason most youngsters visit clued up-they can access sites that their parents(who are paying for it) wouldnt allow them to access in a million years.

Clued Up Info was established in the town nearly eight years ago and has since increased its opening hours from four days a week to five days a week due to demand and a successful grant application.

Untrue- Clued Up has been going since 2003/4 when East Sussex County Council Youth Development Service or whatever it was called then took over a dormant charity called Crowborough for Young People with the intention of using it as a method of getting Grants from itself(ESCC) and extracting taxpayers money from other tiers of government.
A coincidence is that Jan Murphy holds a senior post within ESCC YDS and is a trustee of Clued Up.

With family therapists, counsellors, career advisors and sexual health experts on hand during the week, young residents do not need to go far to get the answers to those niggling worries or questions.

Perhaps that should read Local Authority employees are on hand to brain wash the young residents of Crowborough and undermine their relationship with their parents.

Youth worker Frances Davies said: "We are not experts on everything but we are here to direct people in the right way. Often for some young people it's good to have someone to talk to, talking through the situation with them."

That should be we are not experts on anything apart from screwing up the minds and bodies of the Youth of Crowborough. Do you really want your child sent to these people for so called advice behind your back so that they can tell your 11 year old how to take drugs, smoke and have under age sex.Is that not the role of the parents to judge whether your kids should be taught about these things in this way.Another strange coincidence is that the Principal (Peter Swann) and the Deputy Principle (Mrs Judith Lasis) of Beacon College are also Trustees of Clued Up so 11 year olds in the first year of Secondary School are being "encouraged " to go to Clued Up in order to be taught immoral and illegal behaviour .

She added: "It's resolved sometimes quite easily, other times you know it needs more professional input, which is where we would refer them to say a drugs worker."

See parents role being undermined again. The inference is that some spotty youth worker who has a NVQ in Drug Taking somehow knows more about bringing up your children than you do.You think they are going to a youth club but in reality they are programming them to make immoral and illegal activities appear interesting to your child.

A registered charity, Clued Up Info relies on the work of volunteers and has in the past received grants from local health authorities, Crowborough Town Council and Wealden District Council among other bodies.

Oh Dear that is really misleading. They have always 100% relied on funding from the local authorities and still do to this day. Your paying for it folks but are you involved with what goes on there.

It has strong links with Beacon Community College in Crowborough, with students often referred to Clued Up Info by staff and other advisors.

As mentioned the Principal (Headmaster to you) and Deputy (Headmaster)of Beacon are Trustees of Clued Up.

............

Manager Adrian Parker said: "I think it's very local, and very accessible with the additional hours and I think it's a kind of unique service for young people. "I know there is a similar very small place in Hailsham that would offer a similar service and the only other place is in Hastings, but in the Wealden area we are pretty much unique."
He added: "It's a very professional service really, it means that young people can access services that they are not traditionally accessing in a very informal, safe and friendly environment."

Of course its a professional service in the literal sense because they are all being paid buckets of our money to provide a service that is not needed or wanted .Another coincidence is that Adrian Parker who is the manager of Clued Up is employed by East Sussex County Council and based at Beacon College.Strange isnt it.

I am bracing myself for the usual criticism from the usual suspects (youth workers) that I dont know what I am talking about and if only I visited Clued Up I would be surprised at what they do and how vital their work is.Well I have to say that I have spoken to someone who has had first hand experience about how the yoof workers and their trendy liberal facist theories are messing up the mind of our young people.I have also checked all the facts with the Charity Commission website and believe them to be accurate. On a final note I also know that the trustees refuse to comment on how many of them have undertaken training through Common Purpose.(google Common Purpose
and Brian Gerrish if you want to know more).

High Street Open again (for now).

Crowborough retailers have admitted that lengthy roadworks in the High Street have not been as damaging to trade as they expected.

Shopkeepers expressed concerns through the Crowborough Retailers Association when East Sussex County Council announced the five week works.

But last week the town's traders said the disturbance was not as bad for business as they first feared.

Jane Hunnam, co-owner of Zest, said: "I do not think it has had any effect at all. The only point I have is how nice it would be if it was pedestrianised."

The works have seen traffic banned from the town centre for the duration as street scene improvements are made to match those carried out in Croft Road.

Roberta Johnson, owner of Marguerites florists, said: "I have been doing quite well because the workers have come in and bought flowers for their wives."......

I had to read this a couple of times as I couldnt believe it first time. The High Street has been closed for weeks and because the workmen have bought a few flowers everything is OK.My thought is that this story is totally fabricated and putting out the feelers in order to close off the High Street permanently.Perhaps then the Council will be happy that the Town Centre will be no more and Crowborough will just be a collection of supermarkets.

Nuffink to do round ere-lets smash something up.

AN INITIATIVE to entertain Crowborough youngsters at the weekends was praised by members of the town council.

Manager of Freedom Leisure in Crowborough Andy Jones and Michael Payne from the Cruisers Inline Hockey Club attended a meeting of the sport, recreation and cemetery committee to discuss their ideas for a roller disco.

It is hoped the event will help in the fight against anti social behaviour in the Goldsmiths area. The first disco is due to be held on Saturday April 4 at Freedom Leisure Centre, and will be trialled once a month for six months.

So holding a Roller Disco at the Goldsmiths leisure centre is going to stop the youths congregateing at the Goldsmiths leisure centre.Well that makes perfect sense NOT.

If I had my way I would entertain the youth of Crowborough with a kick up the arse. All they do is whinge about nothing to do but dont bother to do anthing worthwhile for other people. The school and clued up teaches them how to be a pain in the arse but doesnt tell them about their responsibilities to not make other peoples life a misery .We are breeding a generation of selfish youngsters who want everything laid on for them on a plate.Rather than doing good for the town in general they hang around in drunken groups with the intention of vandalising everything they come into contact with.

Save the Polar Bear or any other photogenic mammal.

Congratulations to Cllr George Moss for winning the prize of snake oil salesman of the year(Crowborough).
"Town councillor George Moss established the Crowborough Towards Carbon Neutral project, which seeks to install meters in homes in a bid to find out how energy consumption in Crowborough can be reduced.
Sixty meters have been set up in different households; the device shows in real time the amount of energy being used, giving residents a chance to make savings and reduce their impact on the environment.
Funding for the group has been provided by Crowborough Town Council, and a grant has also been given by Community Action for Energy, part of the Energy Saving Trust. Those wanting to take part can either borrow the meter, or purchase one for more long-term use."

Councillor Moss assures us that installing one of these meters and having the Town Council snoop into your private lives will save the Polar Bear (or any other photogenic mammal ) from extinction.
Not only that but these meters are able to reduce the amount of C02 in the atmosphere by virtue of the fact that they are endowed with magic properties that mere mortals cannot begin to understand.
Only people who hold the high office of Town Councillor with responsibility for wasting money can understand such things but we are assured that he has watched Al Gores Inconvenient Lie so he does know what he is talking about.
Dont miss out on this fantastic offer buy one today and be disappointed for the rest of your life.
When the fully trained (to NVQ level 1in bullshitting) operative comes to fit your new energy meter dont worry that he is fiddling around with your power supply and installing a bug that can be monitored by yourself because for your convenience it can also be monitored by anyone who has a monitor display tuned to the same channel.
Also dont be concerned about the van with blacked out windows parked outside your home-there is no truth in the rumour that the monitors can also be used to monitor your household for undesirable behaviour .The monitors thought crime detection facility has been specially designed so it can only be authorised by people who have been approved by the Police State (stasi) committee of the council.
Bear in mind that the kind taxpayers of Crowborough are buying energy monitors for people in our community so thick they dont realise that to reduce your energy bills you have to turn your 52inch Plasma TV off for a few hours a day .I can hear them shouting now "what about Trisha or Home n Away, how am I going to watch all my favourite programmes 24 hrs a day if I dont have me telly on all the time".
Oh by the way Cllr Moss I got my energy meter free of charge from my energy supplier so you can stick yours up your domestic junction box cheers.

Mental Services.

Article from the Courier

WEALDEN District Council's plans for kerbside recycling could be under threat due to the drastic drop in the price of materials.
The plan to introduce kerbside recycling of five different materials across the district is under review due to the current market value of items such as plastic, aluminium and paper.
The first phase of the new recycling plan is due in October and was predicted to cost more than £700,000.
The idea was to offset this cost with the sale of the materials but the price of items has halved since September last year.
As a result, a delay, or reduction of the service is under consideration....

So all that crap about saving the world and landfills filling up was just rubbish(sorry).Wealden were doing it to make money and now its not viable they throw their toys out the pram.

Is it any coincidence that environmental services is nearly the same as mental services?

Crowborough Closed for Business

Crowborough High Street is cut off with roadworks.
What are the town council doing to help businesses survive the double whammy of recession+road closure.Well perhaps a notice saying that businesses are still open for business wouldnt be too difficult nor would a mention on the town council website.
Well perhaps if the councillors were less worried about fairtrade fortnight and more worried about Crowborough traders we might be getting somewhere.Fairtrade is a misnomer anyway as all it means is that you end up giving the local warlord extra money to buy extra AK47s.
Why should the consumer be forced to pay over the top for low quality goods just because it makes the local councillors feel good because they are doing something for the worlds poor.
I only hope they will extend that to the traders of Crowborough whilst there are still a few left.
The councillors keep going on about the visioning document even though they themselves havnt got the"vision" to look beyond the front door of the Town Hall.Isnt it time we got rid of some of the dead wood in the council. Some councillors like Mr and Mrs Moss seem to be on a crusade to save the world even though saving the world is not in their remit.Saving Crowborough traders should be a priority but until these councillors start doing their job and stop ignoring the wishes of the public nothing will be done and we will all suffer the consequences.Councillor Moss perhaps you could start by actually replying to emails sent to you-thats not too tricky is it?

Money, Money, Money must be funny in a rich mans world.

The council is borrowing £300,000 pounds for public works following Gordon Mc Broons policy of spend spend spend even if you dont have it.

What benefit will we see for this money.

Well some of it will go in the Community Facility Fund never to be seen again(just like the facility itself).

Clued up will get another bung just like it does from the District and County Council.Nothing to do with the fact that the trustees are all council employees or actual councillors(Kay Moss and Sylvia Tidy)of course not.

New bus stops mustnt forget that.Who travels by bus anyway-only losers and tree huggers. They are not called loser cruisers for nothing.

So there you go before you know it 3rd of million has been pissed up the wall and nothing to show for it apart from a few new bus stops.Who will have to pay this loan back and any subsequent loans-not the councillors who seem to spend our money like a sailor on shore leave.

Yes thats right the council taxpayer will not only have to pay for todays spending but also for the loan repayment in years to come.

The British are coming!!!.

The BNP won a seat on Sevenoaks District Council for the Swanley ward(traditional Labour stronghold).

The Courier paper to their credit(what am I saying) published the results on-line and allowed comments, the vast majority of which were supportive of the BNP.

Will we in Crowborough have the opportunity to vote BNP at the next elections?.

I do hope so because this is what democracy is all about.

Wealden Backtracking now.

Not really Crowborough News but relevant because of Wealden Council .The backtracking had nothing do do with the story going nuclear on the blogosphere and on the television as well-no of course not they were going to change their mind anyway.

Joe Townsend Planning Application Statement
This joint statement is issued by Mr David Carter and Wealden District Council in relation to the planning application for a bungalow for Marine Joe Townsend.
A scheme has now been agreed in principle which planning officers consider is supportable.
Mr Carter who is Joe's grandfather will now submit a new application. Mr Carter said "We have had a fruitful discussion and I am optimistic that the scheme will meet Joe's needs and will receive a fair hearing. I am grateful to the Council for being open to a new approach".
Councillor Pam Doodes, Leader of Wealden District Council said "We have been anxious to resolve this difficult issue from the start and are glad that a solution has been identified. However, this case has raised a number of deep concerns over national policy and I shall be writing to the Prime Minister urging him to issue further Government guidance on the provision that local authorities make for servicemen and women disabled in the service of their country".

Could this all be considered to be a waste of money.

Crowborough Town council is going to hold a fair trade fortnight for some reason. Why?

Crowborough Town Council supports a new skate park for the youth to vandalise. Why?

Crowborough Town Council gives money to clued up even though its run by ESCC.Why?

Crowborough Town Council is going to give out energy meters to families. Why?

Crowborough Town Council spending money on employing noddy pcsos. Why?

Crowborough Town Council has a huge amount of money to build a community facility. Why?

Crowborough Town Council supports a youth event proposed by some Youth Campaigner who wants the taxpayer to pay for it.Why?

The answer to all these questions is clear. The Town Council couldnt run a whelk stall and is intent on wasting money on schemes nobody wants but cant even keep the paths clear of ice.

Many councillors have been appointed without a vote and are now making decisions without any consultation with the public at all.Democracy it isnt.

Welcome

Welcome to the residents voice blog.My aim is to provide a voice for the majority of residents of Crowborough who are not consulted by the council at local, district and county level .All too often the authorities waste taxpayers money on hairbrained pc schemes with no consultation to the general community.Minority interest groups are consulted and then awarded public funds without question.
The staff at all the councils have forgotten that they are public servants and should govern us as we see fit not to suit them.Public service means just that service for the good of the community not just those that shout loudest.Remember that they can only govern with the consent of the people and regardless of what "they" think we are all free born citizens of England and Crowborough and can excercise that freedom by speaking our mind without fear.
If you have anything to say at all about Crowborough or the country in general then post a comment here.If enough people express the same views I will then pass those views onto the local councillors.
As always we have a few ground rules.
1)There are not many rules.
2)You can post anything you like under any pseudonym .
3) There is no active moderation but I do reserve the right to delete posts if I find them offensive(I have no problem with swearing ).Other things I do have a problem with but you wont find out what they are unless you overstep the mark and abuse my no moderation policy.
4)ALL politicians , public servants etc etc are fair game.
5)This blog is for over 18s only.
Thats it really.
