Damian McAlonan has left the council.

Another one bites the dust-thats two gone within the last 2 months.

I am not sure why D McAlonan has gone but I for one am glad to see one of the co opted twats deciding to call it a day.

I would like to think that I played my part in ridding our town council of him but there are many rumours going around as to the exact reasons behind his resignation.

Rumours I have heard include

1)He was responsible for the tree on chapel green being cut down so he jumped before he was named and shamed.

2)Some dodgy dealing involving the community centre which has been hushed up .

3)A problem with a criminal records check.

In honesty I dont know why he has gone but if I had to go with any one rumour it would probably be no2 because there seems to be a veil of secrecy over the whole community facility project which prevents the residents (who are paying for the bloody thing) from finding out what is going on and more importantly where the money is going/has gone.Secrecy breeds suspicion and resignations of councillors feeds those suspicions.

To prove there are no hard feelings I would like Damian to know it was nice knowing him but even nicer knowing that he has finally fucked right off.

Who is next to fall on their sword then fnar fnar.

Do they really think that anyone who wants to represent their community on the undemocratic star chamber that is Crowborough TC would not have the intelligence to have thought it through and decided to stand without having to visit Pine Grove so they can give you the thumbs up.

The great thing about a democracy is that any fucknugget can represent you as long as they can get more people to vote for them than the opposition.

We all know what the council does and quite frankly we dont like it .We need someone to stand and get voted in on the understanding that they would stir up the council and make it more democratic not someone who will toe the line and agree anything as long as there is a drink in it for them.

Watch out council because I am considering standing myself and if you think I am going to be vetted by a bunch of twatty no hopers you are clearly barking up the wrong tree.

Believe me if I get voted in things will change and it will definitely be more interesting in the council meetings.

Anita Kerwin-Nye has left the council.

Anita Kerwin-Nye one of the few elected councillors on Crowborough Town Council has left/resigned from the council leaving a vacancy to be filled by another unelected co opted nobody.

Anita was one of the very few decent people on the council and although I have gently ribbed her over a couple of things I thought she was/is a genuine nice person who was trying to do her best for the people of the town.

This means we have now have only 5 elected councillors out of a total of 15 which highlights just what a sham the council is.

Keeping an eye on Council meetings is like watching a car crash in slow motion.

The incompetence of the members of the council is staggering and the arrogance as to be seen to be believed.The cock up on appointing a new town clerk seems to go on and on.The position has now been taken off the temporary town clerk and given back to the old town clerk on a temporary basis paying her an amount of £30 per hour plus expenses.Fucking hellski I thought she was a mere town clerk not a senior manager in a private business.

On another hilarious note the council seems to be trying to force the members and staff to be CRB checked to accertain whether they are child molesters or not.Why councillors or council staff need to be CRB checked is not clear but they are having a hissy fit because one unamed person is refusing to be CRB checked.
The council is now trying to change the persons contract retrospectively in order to force them to comply with this dictat.Hang on a minute-councillors are not people who can be hired and fired these are supposed to be elected representatives.Ignoring the co opted twats like "poor old" clive wilson some members have actually been voted in and it is not for the council to decide whether someone should take part in the council just because they dont want to go through the farce of having to get a certificate to prove they are not a child molester.
The unamed member who is refusing to have a CRB check either has something to hide or they are making a stand against this disgusting piece of legislation and the heavy handed implementation of it by their fellow councillors.I would like to hope that the reason for refusal is more the second one rather than the first one but who knows.

What is even more disgusting is that the chairman of the personnel commitee is none other than our friend and non elected twat Damian McAlonan.He has got a fucking cheek implementing "the rools" when he wasnt even elected onto the council and he has the bare faced cheek to put on his professional profile that he is an elected councillor when he clearly isnt.Clearly lying is acceptable whilst opting out of a witch hunt clearly isnt.

CTC has been looking for a weak minded individual to fill the vacant post of Town Clerk.

Their ideal candidate would be an easily pliable person who can turn a visually impaired eye to all the dodgy dealings that go on within the confines of the town hall.Unfortunately for the council the interviewed candidates were not prepared to be the gimp at the beck and call of their elected and unelected masters and were therefore not considered suitable.
The Town council are still looking for that elusive candidate that will not upset their apple cart.

Seeing the application from the point of view of a job applicant I can safely say that the Town Council are as good at recruiting staff as they are at saving the council taxpayers money.

So the search continues for a windowlicker who manages to maintain basic bodily functions but has limited mental capacity.Its a shame the councillors cannot apply for the job because they all fit the bill perfectly.Failing that the character pictured above seems ideal.

Below is an extract from Crowborough Clown Council proposing the dedication of a tree for the "victims of domestic violence".Its already been established elsewhere that Sgt Etherington is of the useless bedwetting lefty persuasion but surely even he could see that this is just ridiculous.

To people who are not local ,Canada Green is a small tended park with a line of trees along the footpath.Each one of these trees has the name of a Canadian soldier who died when a flying bomb landed on the Canadian camp on what is now the golf course during the War.These young Canadian lads came across the Atlantic to help defend us from the Nazis and ended up sadly getting no further than Crowborough.

For anyone to suggest that a tree on Canada green should be dedicated to some pissed waynetta chav who got a slap from an equally pissed wayne chav must indicate that they are out of their tiny little minds.What next allowing non travelling pikeys to set up camp on Canada green.

Sgt Etherington and the clown council have gone too far on this .Associating domestic violence with the war dead is insensitive and another step in the political correct destruction of Crowborough.

Sgt. Steve Etherington was invited to speak and he advised that there were 863
incidents of domestic violence reported in Wealden during the year and two people
could come and speak if requested to do so, Graham Lindfield from the police and
Sandy Dennis from the County Council.
The committee considered an appropriate location and whether to plant a new tree
or dedicate an existing tree and Canada Green or the Bluebell Wood were
suggested.

One things for sure-if you want to get on in the SussexPolice farce you seem to have to be as mad as a box frogs and have a liking to attending gay pride marches and consuming copious quantities of doughnuts.

Crowborough Town council have decided to press the red accounting button marked "financial disaster".

They are already considering borrowing £1000,000 to help pay for the new white elephant community facility.
Despite the madness of this idea they are thinking it might be a good idea to stump up the extra money to get the thing built which is likely to be another £600,000.

Notice there is no mention of any cutting back on the specification of the hall or reducing the spend to match the money available.Hey what do they care anyway they dont have to pay it back.It will come down to the good old taxpayers of Crowborough to pay an extra £15 a year for the next 50 years or so.If we are paying for it why cant we have a say in the building and running of this project.Well the answer is obvious isnt it-how would the dodgy back hand deals continue if there were "the wrong sort of people" on the commitee (code for not bent).I should point out that currently the Council has just £169000 cash to fund a project that is likely to cost
the wrong side of £3000,000.Can you imagine the reaction if you went to your Bank Manager and asked to borrow £3 mill to buy lets say a sunseeker boat even though you only have £160,000 to put down as deposit and to run your boat for the next 20 years.
I think the second word would be off followed by "close the door on the way out".

Its totally unbelievable that we have managed to get all the financial retards on the council at the same time.Mind you as we havnt even voted for most of them is it any surprise that people are appointed because of their golf handicap rather than their financial skills.


To add insult to injury the Town Council are looking for a new Town Clerk and are thinking of offering a "RELOCATION PACKAGE" to get the right person.Fuck me I am sure there is someone locally who could do the job without too much trouble.Perhaps they are having to look far and wide for the type of person who will turn a blind eye to all the councils dodgy deals whilst being able to write the cheques (no questions asked).

Sack the whole undemocratic corrupt lot of them and start afresh.I reckon the Town would run pretty well with a Town Council half the size and cost it is currently .

I am posting information about the councillors who supposedly stand and represent the residents of Crowborough.

I am splitting the councillors into groups so people can see those who have been voted in and those who have been given the job but havnt been voted for because the ward was uncontested.
The final group are those that have been co opted onto the council and I shall call that group the Peter Mandelson group after the biggest twat ever to NOT be elected to office in this country.

Firstly we have the democratically elected councillors who have been elected by the residents of Crowborough in the elections in 2007.

Next we have the Peter Mandelson Group.This list consists of all the chancers that have not had the guts to face the electorate and have been co opted onto the council.We can only guess the criteria for deciding whether these people are suitable people to represent the residents of Crowborough .Democracy is about letting the people decide who represents them and governs over them.To put it into perspective Hitler was voted into power initially whereas these people have not been.

I have already mentioned Ms Colbran who stood to be elected in 2007, failed to gain enough votes only to pop up as a co opted councillor at a later date.
The next chancer is Damian Mc Alonan who is the Crowboroughs equivalent of the invisible man.No one knows anything about him except that he hasnt been voted in and seems to make a habit of not attending council meetings.I understand from my contacts that he works in advertising so you can be sure he has stupid letterbox glasses , speaks management talk and does a lot of networking!!!
The final chancer is Clive Wilson who runs some sort of eco shit building design company.
Before he was co opted as a councillor he was already a co opted member to advise on planning.I would read nothing into the fact that he managed to get planning permission to build a 10 bedroom! mansion on the edge of the Ashdown Forest which is still in the not built phase of construction.If it does ever get completed I cant see anyone wanting a house that backs onto Crowborough Army Camp unless they have an interest in studying the undercarriage of Chinook helicopters at close range.

Update...Tatjana Keenan has been co opted onto the council.Wannabe politburo member with a background in scientology so there must be doubts about her sanity.



So there you have it our Town council has just 7 elected councillors out of a total of 16.

This must mean we are now in the post democratic age that nutters like Julia Middleton of Communist Purpose keeps going on about.

Well fuck me we are all lucky people to be living in a town with free trade status whatever that means.
I always thought that free trade was a hairbrained scheme thought up by socialists to help the local warlords in far off lands to buy extra AK47s on the back of us buying shit tasting chocolate or coffee.To be honest my opinion hasnt changed a bit and the arrogance of the councillors is unbelievable in them thinking that if they drink shit coffee it will somehow make a difference to the status of Crowborough.
The council seems to be on a power trip at the moment and has decided that the little matter of elected representatives on the council can be overlooked if it means getting the right type of person on the council.They are now looking for another councillor to be co opted onto the council without any vote.

A representative of the people of Crowborough voted for by the people of Crowborough you would think.

This democratically elected representative has been appointed chairman of the communications and events comittee presumably because she is the best "person" for the job.

When I looked up the last town council election results I am left in some doubt whether Leigh is actually an elected Town Councillor at all.

My first profile of one of the local Councillors features Ex Mayor (it was his turn) Councillor Neil Waller.

I have mixed opinions about Mr Waller due to the fact that he stood up and said what he thought to people regardless of the consequences.He upset the town clerk whilst he was Mayor and was dragged in front of the standards committee of Wealden Council.I admire him for his stand for free speech but recently he seems to be keeping his head down and towing the official line on everything.Since his appearance in front of the Wealden Standards star chamber he has disappeared off the public radar sadly.It seems that both Wealden and Crowborough Town Council do not tolerate anyone going "off message" and any hint of non PC thoughts (non common purpose thoughts more like)are crushed and the thought criminal is then assimilated back into the hive.

Crowborough No Vision Project

ADVERTISING in empty shop windows, turning the High Street into a pedestrian zone and the massive improvement of public transport - these are just a small sample of what Crowborough businesses and residents want to see in the next 20 years.
Business owners also crave a purpose built enterprise centre which offers flexible business space for a low rent, scrapping town parking charges, more active promotion of the area, the creation of a tourism strategy and more pedestrian signs.

The ideas have come about after the Crowborough Visioning Project (CVG) hired the firm Dialogue to carry out a public consultation into what people want.
These ideas will be compiled into a document which will form the blueprint for future development in the town.
It will then be incorporated into the Wealden District Council local development framework.
Crowborough town Cllr George Moss, CVG leader, said: "Hopefully over the next month we will get some input back, hold a meeting with the retailers and get even more of a feel for what they want."
The consultation also revealed residents wanted to adopt the European concept of "shared space" – where motorists and pedestrians "become one".
This is achieved by removing the traditional separations between cars and walkers by taking away kerbs and signs.

A range of measures are being adopted to tackle anti social behaviour in Crowborough after residents have complained of large groups of young people hanging around the Goldsmiths area.

A working party of representatives from Sussex Police, Crowborough Town Council and Andy Jones, the manager of Freedom Leisure Centre met last week to discuss ideas.

One of those ideas was to build a temporary shelter for youngsters at the front of the leisure centre near the skate park.

Kent and Sussex Courier reporter Jessica Thompson joined Sgt Howard Nevill on Friday night on Operation Marble, an ongoing scheme to tackle the problems in the town.

She found out about how police are handling residents' concerns and what young people thought of the working party ideas.

The council is borrowing £300,000 pounds for public works following Gordon Mc Broons policy of spend spend spend even if you dont have it.

What benefit will we see for this money.

Well some of it will go in the Community Facility Fund never to be seen again(just like the facility itself).

The answer to all these questions is clear.The Town Council couldnt run a whelk stall and is intent on wasting money on schemes nobody wants but cant even keep the paths clear of ice.

Many councillors have been appointed without a vote and are now making decisions without any consultation with the public at all.Democracy it isnt.
